The framework identifies solo bonus hunters, sports traders, insiders, and syndicates as the primary profiles. Solo hunters utilize temporary accounts and wagering loopholes, while traders apply automated scripts to hedge bets across platforms. Insiders manipulate marketing metrics through referral farming and traffic laundering.
Syndicates operate at an industrial scale, deploying bot networks, IP farming, and identity spoofing to bypass detection systems.

Industry data indicates that iGaming fraud rates doubled between 2023 and 2025, with 83% of professionals recording higher activity levels over the prior year. Europol classifies fraud schemes as the fastest-growing segment of organized crime. Tetiana Dychenko, chief technical officer for casino at EveryMatrix, stated that coordinated groups now monitor promotions and exploit vulnerabilities rapidly.
